Guild Profession Leaders are experts in their chosen professions. They have made themselves available for guild members to use as a resource for crafting items they do not have the skill to make. They are also there to guide you with your profession as well.

They can also assist you in where to find various plans/recipes.

It is always customary to provide the profession leader with the materials that are required, or the cost of the materials; however if a profession leader chooses, out of the goodness of their heart, they may create the item for you using the mats they already have, but this should not ever be expected.

If you have materials for a certain profession that you do not need, you can always donate them by sending them directly to the profession leader.
